Food should be appreciated after digestion, barley at the end of adolescence, birak after returning from war, and grain after eating at home.
The hand is shaved only by giving, not by bracelet. The body is cleansed by bathing, not by sandalwood, it can be satisfied by respect, not by weights, it is liberated by knowledge, not by shaving.
There is no eye equal to knowledge, no austerity equal to truth, no sorrow equal to attachment, no happiness equal to renunciation.
One should refrain from slandering others, objects of others, slander of other people, taunting in front of the Guru and restlessness.
